If you're like me, you’ve read countless articles and books By John Snowy If you're like me, you’ve read countless articles and books, and tried different techniques to get rid of those pesky negative thoughts – those little gremlins in your mind—that that tell you all sorts of awful things. Guess what? You can cross learn to get rid of negative thoughts off your self-growth to-do list.In the book, "Negative Thoughts: Discover How to Stop Negative Thoughts by Changing the Way You Think", author Anne Seguin says most of everyone's thoughts contain some sort of negative content. So it's normal to have negative thoughts. It's part of our evolutionary heritage. We’re constantly scanning our environment (generating negative thoughts all the while) looking for problems to fix. The difficulty isn’t that we have negative thoughts. The problem comes when we believe our thoughts are true.This book is short and to the point. Very helpful book with simple explanations and advice on how to be more positive. There are some grammatical errors, but you can get through them. The book is well worth the price.

I find myself often getting swallowed in negative thought eventhough I know how horribly they can affect me and those around me. I have been reading a lot on the subject and found this book which, although short, one of the better ones I have read. The author explains that you have to identify the negative thought patterns that applies to your negative thought to be able to find a better handle of getting ride of negativity and embracing more positive ones. Then the authors suggest to strategies and tips to learn to analyse your negative thought patterns like awareness, being an impartial observer and being present. I enjoyed the most the chapter on inunding yourself in positivity, which I think id the best solution to break negative thoughts. I especially like the strategy what is the opposite of this and started applying it to my won negative thoughtwith much success.Overall, the book is well written and give a good straight forward solutions to negativity. I will be looking for more book from Anne Seguin.

By Dia Hughes This book has shown readers that happiness is not really hard to come by. And I just thought, wouldn't it be nice to be able to have a control over our emotions and quit thinking negatively in order for us to be happy practically all of the time. This is such an enlightening book. I am able to get powerful lines here that struck home. It talks about pertinent topics like "How to Effectively Introduce Positive Thoughts" and "Changing Your Mindset – What to Avoid" -- these are just some of those that I appreciate a lot. I learned a lot. And I got this message: negative thoughts also bother even the most positive people that we know. It may only be sometimes, but it does.

This book is very dear to me for many reasons. One being that it was inspired by a true story. From a few people that meant the world to me. Some situations are true experiences that I myself and other women, girls, boys, and men may have endured throughout some point of our lives. I have changed all names, places, and most events to protect myself and respect the privacy of others. I was also inspired to write this particular type of book to relate and reach many people to explain that catastrophic situations are real. Rape, date rape, gangs, teenage pregnancy, multiple personality disorders and drugs are real. Mental and physical abuse and molestation is real. That doesn't mean life has to stop. Through my writing I have learned not to be ashamed or have any regrets for my past. That's what made me the phenomenal woman I am today. Haters, liars, cheaters, and fakeness were four major things she didn't like. Drama, she was allergic to it and steered cleared of it at all cost. Growing up learning it was best that she kept to herself kept drama down. Solo dolo if that's what you wanna call it. "Stay away from the life of crime" is what she told herself, on a daily. But no matter what you do trouble seems to always find you. Damn from the drug life to the juggling of her alter egos'. Over the years she faced many demons. We all face some type of demons in our life right? No; we don't all face these demons. Try having some other entity take over your entire mind body and soul and you not remember a thing. She, them, and they, we're in this twisted thing we called life together. At this point trying to survive was her destiny. Gg was strictly about making her money and getting revenge on her opressors. Getting paid and revenge on these lames was so bittersweet it was her pleasure.... But sweet subtle Gg gets a change of heart and takes the weight of the world off her shoulders and places it in God's hands. This would now become her journey. The homies call her 'Glamour Gyrl' but at the end of the day she will always grace the world as God's Gift...

By Joy Hughes I was given the opportunity to beta-read this memoir.For someone who exhibits minimal restraint and maximum enthusiasm for life, it is fortunate for readers that Tony Slater is blessed with a talent for recording his escapades. The world really is his oyster. He needs no encouragement to explore whatever environment he finds himself visiting. Perhaps it was fortunate that on this road trip, he was accompanied by two females and relying on a hand-painted old van, Rusty by name and rusty by nature. Having previously read Tony's two earlier books, I thought there may be a little more restraint with having female company on this journey . . . not likely as they were just as intrepid as Tony. If they were ever a little hesitant, his brazen, gift-of-the-gab encouragement had them achieving amazing feats that showed they were just as fearless.The travels around Australia truly were epic, not only in experiences but for those who recognise the size of Australia, epic in distance.Thank goodness Tony Slater lives his life to the full otherwise we would not enjoy the brilliance of his writing. There is laughter, sadness, excitement, impatience, courage, love and even romance. I defy anyone to read this tale and not experience to the full, the same range of emotions. It leaves the reader with one question - how can Tony Slater get himself into such awkward situations and still end up smelling sweet. Whenever and wherever I think about this book, I continue to laugh out loud at many of the memories it has left in my mind. Enjoy!

This has been a Public Service Announcement By Greg Fortier I rarely give book reviews as I figure that everyone has their own opinion and that it might not match with mine and I am okay with that fact as long as you don't mind missing out on some great reading.This is Tony Slater's third book so far and having read the first two, it wasn't even a question on if I was going to buy his new book or even any future ones he decides to write. I am only 11% into this one and I have been laughing like a loon. I don't even need to finish it to tell you that if you want a good laugh or to keep up on his continuing saga that is Tony's life, you should stop what you are doing, including reading this review and go click on this book to buy it. It's a bargain at any price but the Kindle price is such that for what you pay, you are getting so much more back in return.Help support this writer who lives day to day and needs to go on his adventures so he can write more books and keep all of us who can't afford to travel able to live vicariously through him.I will gladly write a more knowledgeable review when I have finished, but at the rate I'm going, I don't think my thoughts are going to change much. Buy this book!, Buy It! (No, I don't get any kick backs)

By George Mahood I had been looking forward to reading Tony’s adventures in Australia since he left us hanging at the Arrivals hall at Perth airport at the end of his last book.Kamikaze Kangaroos did not disappoint in the slightest. It’s bloody brilliant! In fact, I think it could be the best one yet. It still maintains all of the calamitous Tony James Slater situations that we have come to expect from him, and, of course, laughs by the bucket-load. But this book also has a level of emotion and sensitivity that sets it apart from his other books. Who knew Tony could write so sensitively and thoughtfully about love and loss? He even made me cry! It’s almost as though he has - dare I say it - GROWN UP since his last book. Nah, who am I kidding? He’s still a child at heart.

Tommy is undoubtedly the child we have all been at one time or another (and that some of us still are). If you can see past your child's innocent eyes to the fact they probably do every gross thing Tommy does with his toenails, you will surely enjoy this book. I'm giving it a four though would have given it a five if more time had been given to the illustrations.

Dr. Baroody's book has helped me understand the relationship between acid-forming foods and alkaline-forming foods, yet I must say it required some level of discernment to sift the wheat from the chaff.One of the positive features to Dr. Baroody's approach to healthful living is his recognition of each person's unique biochemistry. Throughout this book he continues to remind his readers that each person is an individual and therefore might experience variant results when compared to other people.It is important to understand that Dr. Baroody's theories and principals are based as largely on his personal alternative health experiences (trial and error) as they are on any demonstrable medical science. It is also important to know that Dr. Baroody gives much credence to the metaphysical teachings of eastern spiritualism, which may be a detractor to some readers. In the book's introduction, Dr. Baroody writes, "My viewpoint is founded on ancient Hindu, Chinese, Tibetan, and Greco-European healing philosophies and on several great modern men in the field of health." One of these "great modern men" is Edgar Cayce, who is referenced as an authority many times throughout the book.So long as the reader is a proponent of New Age and/or Eastern spiritualism, this book should be quite acceptable. For those of us who are more Western in their worldview, the book requires discernment to pick and choose what you care to take from it.An example of how Dr. Baroody's metaphysical beliefs influence his dietary advice can be seen in his counsel for reducing the consumption of red meat: "The destructive emotion of slaughter is assimilated by the person who eats flesh." (pg. 63). For many, this statement might resonate well with their worldview, but for others this statement will likely be challenged as to it's applicability to the subject of acidity/alkalinity.Dr. Baroody's experience in the alternative health field appears to be quite extensive. No doubt he has learned a lot from published medical research and other practitioners, yet much of what he proposes in this book is admittedly derived from his own experience; some of which he still doesn't fully understand himself (for example, read chapter 4 on the "Vagus Nerve"). Those readers who are looking for a book filled with footnotes and documented scientific research will be disappointed with this work.What I found most helpful in the book is Dr. Baroody's exhaustive list of foods with a corresponding rating as to their alkaline-forming or acid-forming properties. Dr. Baroody abandons the conventional 0-7-14 pH scale in favor of a scale he developed to measure alkaline-forming and acid-forming foods. Dr. Baroody's scale (pg. 38) ranges from 0.5 to 7.5. All foods below 4.0 are acid-forming and all foods above 4.0 are alkaline-forming.The chart I refer to above is alone worth the price of the book. Depending on the readers religious and scientific convictions, the rest of the book may or may not be appreciated.

I have FMS, Arthritis, and Thyroid Disease.I have been working on this Acid thing for awhile. Ithink every page has my name on it.Am eating only Alkaline forming foods. I am following this book to the letter. In 2 wks time I feel better. This book is so easy to understand, and for me and my problems, it is what I have been looking for. HEALTH AND VITALITY CAN BE YOURS By CRAIG TODD As someone who has suffered various health, and energy problems over the years, I feel well placed to offer my opinion on this particular book. What is more, with so much contradictory information around, how do you know what is effective, and what is not worth bothering with?ALKALIZE OR DIE is the book that has helped change my Life. Not only does it give a complete overview of health, but it reveals the true secret of energised living: Alkaline Diet & Lifestyle. Read this book and discover the underlying causes of nearly all disease, both physical and mental. Discover how a change in diet, exercise, colour, and music(amongst other things), can bring your body back into perfect balance. You really can be alive again, and without the need for medical drugs and artificial stimulants.I believe this book to be a great work, and a must read for anyone interesting in living to their optimum health and energy levels.*If you like this book, be sure to read WORLDWIDE SECRETS FOR STAYING YOUNG, by Dr Paavo Airola. Together these two books tell you everything you need.*

By BPC Computer Services Whether you're an EMT, Paramedic, ER Nurse or Physician, this book is a requirement if you are serious about improving your system. The book is written in an easy to understand format and every statement is backed up by statistics and sources.I can honestly say that within the first 30 pages, my outlook on the EMS system had completely changed. The facts do not lie.The guidelines in the book are not as revolutionary as you may think, in fact, most are common sense. But Ego's and "that's how its always been done" beliefs have significantly limited our capabilities, even on a national level.Admittedly, the changes can not happen quickly and the author makes it quite clear that the changes require years and the cooperation of all administrators of the EMS system to successfully implement.The "EMS System" is no longer a couple workers and an ambulance. Instead, it begins before the 911 call in educating and training the public in CPR guidelines. The system then expands to the dispatching center, fire departments, police departments and the ambulance service itself. Efficiency and Quality IMPROVEMENT (vs QA) are recurring themes in each model.I have no doubt that if a community could implement the first four suggestions alone, your community's Sudden Cardiac Arrest survival rate would double.
