This book is split into three parts, each dedicated to an aspect of industrial psychology: finding the right employee for the job, procuring the best performance of the job, and obtaining the most effective end result. Although nearly 100 years have passed since the original publication of this book, and some of the terminology and social conceptions have changed (i.e. women in the workforce), this work by Munsterberg remains relevant. Industry is ever changing and therefore the ways that people interact with it also stands to be changed from time to time in the interest of efficiency. I highly recommend this book for students of psychology.

But in a great way!Let me begin again by saying; I still don't like Anna. She is the woman your mamma warned you about. She doesn't give up, but she just doesn't seem like she wants to make up her mind either. Now, Nicky boy I love for finally telling it straight to her (kind of), but yet he also confuses me with his 'this and that' changes. Lisa shocking is the oddest one of the characters, but at least the chicka knows what she want...even if it isn't hers.I must say that once more the characters are so well written that the way I don't like them has gotten personal, but it just ones more shows Morales' great writing.I was surprised at the odd twists and turns the book once more took. Yet, I was far from prepared or even suspected the ending. I needed to do more than just a double take when reading the final chapter, because I thought I was reading things. It is a truly great ending that seems fitting and kept me thinking, what the hell!

However, in my opinion, this one is top heavy with history and has very little story. I realize the purpose, but look forward to the next installment , which I hope will help personalize the characters.

Young I think I enjoyed this 2nd book in the Culpepper Saga series better than 'I, John Culpepper'. I find it amazing that Lori can write with such clarity that the reader can put themself in the situation; even in the 1600's! The history in The Merchant regarding King Charles and his ruling or lack of is spot on. This is a quick read and I'm already looking forward to the 3rd in the series!

Less Stressed More Blessed is her minimalist approach to life and dealing with stress. The book is divided into six chapters; chapters 1 & 2 discusses balancing stress and relaxation and identifying common stressors. Chapters 3 &4 deal with defining strew in the mind and battling stress at work. Chapters 5 &6 is about practicing relaxation techniques and managing stress at home. I personally found the chapter on dealing with stress at work very informative. But I was surprised to learn that household tasks like ironing can be de-stressing!

Worth reading By Mike Alice Richards has to be one of the best authors for helping you remove stress from your life, and helping increase your overall happiness. In "Less Stressed More Blessed", she outlines several fast easy changes you can make in your life. Each chapter focuses on a different section of your life, and is full of tips you can use to immediately feel better. Overall this is a highly enjoyable quick read.

News from TV, killing, climate change, raising my son, dealing with bad in-laws. Stress has always been a huge issue in my life. Luckily, I found this book in amazon. It really helped me get over my stress fast. The tips are easy to obtain and apply. This book contains practical strategies on how to relieve stress fast. The content is short but comprehensive it touches on the factors that affect our stress level, and teaches us on how to fight back, prevent and eventually be totally relieved from it. The book isn't a problem solver but it makes things a little easier to deal with it. There are no quick fixes with stress it will always be apart of life. But it does make stress a bit easier to cope with.

Gentle reader, I presume thou wilt be very inquisitive to know what antic or personate actor this is, that so insolently intrudes upon this common theatre, to the world's view, arrogating another man's name; whence he is, why he doth it, and what he hath to say; although, as [7]he said, Primum si noluero, non respondebo, quis coacturus est? I am a free man born, and may choose whether I will tell; who can compel me? If I be urged, I will as readily reply as that Egyptian in [8]Plutarch, when a curious fellow would needs know what he had in his basket, Quum vides velatam, quid inquiris in rem absconditam? It was therefore covered, because he should not know what was in it. Seek not after that which is hid; if the contents please thee, [9]and be for thy use, suppose the Man in the Moon, or whom thou wilt to be the author; I would not willingly be known. Yet in some sort to give thee satisfaction, which is more than I need, I will show a reason, both of this usurped name, title, and subject. And first of the name of Democritus; lest any man, by reason of it, should be deceived, expecting a pasquil, a satire, some ridiculous treatise (as I myself should have done), some prodigious tenet, or paradox of the earth's motion, of infinite worlds, in infinito vacuo, ex fortuita atomorum collisione, in an infinite waste, so caused by an accidental collision of motes in the sun, all which Democritus held, Epicurus and their master Lucippus of old maintained, and are lately revived by Copernicus, Brunus, and some others. Besides, it hath been always an ordinary custom, as [10]Gellius observes, for later writers and impostors, to broach many absurd and insolent fictions, under the name of so noble a philosopher as Democritus, to get themselves credit, and by that means the more to be respected, as artificers usually do, Novo qui marmori ascribunt Praxatilem suo.
