About the Author Marie J. Ziegler was born in June of 1963 and grew up in the small town of Hudson, Florida. About the Author Hello; my name is Edward Bailey. I was born on June 10, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia. After graduating from Edison High School in Alexandria, I taught myself the violin, which became my first passion. In 1989, I began experimenting with photography. I learned darkroom techniques and read photography magazines, was a member of a photography society, and attended art exhibits. Later, I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography. In early 2010, I turned my attention to computers and focused on learning all of the capabilities of Photoshop. As I continued to learn a vast array of equipment in photography and how to digitally manipulate my photographs with Photoshop, I began writing and eventually, composed several compelling books, including a complete guide to Photoshop and all of its features, functions, and benefits. Through my books, I show how to harness the power of Photoshop to create beautiful, extraordinary, and even profoundly imaginative images from photos that are taken from a camera. Today, my work is sought after and respected, not only by professional photographers, but by everyone wishing to learn the latest techniques in digital modification and modern photography.

I can frankly declare that this book is very educational and a great way to orient yourself in order to learn how to use a camera properly and how to use photoshop. It also describes different types of photo editing techniques. This book is basic guide on this topics and perfect for beginners. I would surely recommend this book for photography lovers. I appreciated this book because it gave basic camera information that was applicable to not only fancy DSLRs, but also for the camera I carry around with me everyday. Excerpt from Text-Book of the Principles and Practice of NursingThe aim of this book is first to impress upon the student the fundamental principles of nursing, founded upon the ideals of service, its object being not only to help cure the sick and heal the wounded but to bring health and ease, rest and comfort to the suffering mind and body. Secondly, to emphasize the underlying principles of each practical procedure or treatment in addition to giving the method of procedure or technique. Only by a thorough education along these lines can the student reap the full richness from her profession or give to the patient the sympathetic, intelligent and skilled care necessary to his welfare and recovery.The text covers the fundamentals in nursing, namely, the nursing care and treatments used in general medicine and surgery which are usually taught in the first and early part of the second year, the rest of the students training being devoted to the special branches of nursing. The nursing care and treatments used in diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat are also fully discussed, because such care is frequently required in the general care of patients.The technique given is based not on that of any one hospital but on underlying principles so it may be adapted to any condition or field of nursing, private or public, and to any hospital without interfering with one already established.The writer has attempted to give, in one volume, the results of a rather long and varied experience in teaching both theoretical subjects and practical nursing in the classroom and in the wards of more than one hospital as head nurse, supervisor, or instructor, together with a wealth of material drawn from numerous reference books to which the average pupil does not have access.The text is presented from the teaching standpoint. Excerpt from The Problem of Form in Painting and SculptureBruno Hildebrand, was forced by the revolution of 1848 to seek in Switzerland freedom from political persecution. Having reached school age, the son attended the gymnasium of Bern, but did not show much enthusiasm for the abstract studies there offered to him. In 1861 his father was called to the University of Jena. The young man now showed such distinctive signs of artistic ability that he was sent by his father to Nuremberg, to take a course in the art school of that city.At the end of 1867 he left Germany for a prolonged stay in Italy. The influence of the masterpieces of art accumulated in that country proved to be infinitely more beneficial to his artistic development than the school instruction which he had practically out-grown when he entered the art school. In Rome Hildebrand became acquainted with Hans von Marees, whose independence of thought encouraged the younger artist to follow his own bent. These stories are deliberately exaggerated, dialogued to draw your attention. Temptation is a treat, as well as a lesson, therefore, read at your own risk. Some of the diaries that you are about to read are inspired from true stories and some are visions of my imagination. The only facts in the stories are stated with reference, other wise they are resemblances of Satan.
