He has maintained enough distance from the spotlight to leave people wondering what he's truly like By Don Kidwell Which is exactly why I grabbed this book! I remember really liking his film works during the early 90s including ""Benny and Joon" ""Edward Scissorhands" and "Don Juan DeMarco" although I am personally not really all that wild about the Disney "Jack Sparrow" character which might forever remain what he'll best be remembered for in ages to come. A very quirky man described as having "very little stability in his life, either physically or emotionally" during his childhood and I would think also his marital life. Hard for me to visualize him as a legend at this point with regards to heavies like Jimmy Stewart or Peter Fonda but I did enjoy this reflection of his "Anything I've done up till May 27th 1999 was kind of an illusion, existing without living. My daughter, the birth of my daughter, gave me life." As young a man as he is still, I feel there is still much more to write of Johnny Depp (and I do believe this is his birthday month!)

I love him everything he do By Thelma I love him everything he do,he stayed away from scandals and he enjoys his private life, he looks he is a very decent man,he don't need a publicized what he is doing like so many do, I never missing his movies,I give two star to this book because is to short is good but I want to read more about him,Johnny Depp, please don't change,money and fame make people change for the worst,they way people adoring them make me feel sick,they are people like us nothing else, but he is one of the kind,Thelma. Today his in Ellen tv show wow what a treat ! Thanks for having him in your show,is very rear having him in anything'"

His act of charity when his daughter was ill was awesome....you know how interviewers ask people the three people they would most like to meet or have a meal with ? ....Johnny Depp would definitely be on MY list. Great read.

Rinchiuso Hits High Notes By Danny Reid Love and Family at 24 Frames is a sweet little memoir, a brief slice of life where a man tries to find piece between the bravado-filled action movies that he grew to love and appreciate and the sweet, sometimes sickly films he watches with his young daughters. The first person perspective if sweet, if frustrated-- the highlight of the book may be the unmitigated rant against the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast-- but gives the book a calm, Midwestern sensibility. Rinchiuso is at ease with his influence and love of film and almost in awe of the way it's shaped his life, both in terms of his relationships and passions. While some sentences come across as clunky and a number of chapters are better than others, there's no doubt that it's a sincere reflection, one built on nothing but love.Full disclosure: I have co-written a book with Ryan and edited a book he has contributed to. But, as a father-to-be, this book impressed and dazzled me, reminding me of how one man's passion can ripple through the lives of all he cares for.

I am personally someone who wants to get better every day. I am always strict with myself and I always set high standards. Sometimes though I feel that I haven't achieved enough. Even when people around me admire some of my achievements, I still find it hard to feel that sense of self-fulfilment. I have already completed the self-love book. I feel so much better. I feel relieved. I understood that we should be grateful for whatever we have achieved so far in our lives. Maybe we take things for granted but they are not. We should give ourselves a breath from time to time. The words of wisdom I found in there just slowed down my heart beat and made me appreciate more myself, my life so far, my experiences and what I am. Only when we learn to love ourselves we can achieve more and be happier. I also liked the fact that these challenges are split into 21 days. Every day, a step closer towards the goal. Of course you need to understand that this practice is not completed after 21 days. It's a life challenge. It will set you to the right direction. And with baby steps, you will manage to become better, not only for yourself but for all the others around you too. Thanks for the enlightening advice. Nothing less than five.

The first book I got was Self-Confidence: The 21-Day Self-Confidence Challenge: An easy and step-by-step approach to overcome self-doubt & low self-esteem and start developing ... esteem workbook) (21-Day Challenges Book 9) and it's been real helpful to me. I actually didn't realize that I got a box set and was thrilled when I found out. Same as my experience with the first book I got, this one is just as thorough and helpful as the other one. I'm on my 2nd day on the challenge but I've read the entire book and it sounds like a fun and valuable challenge to take on.

I would add more choices of things that may help and explain about Celiac which may affect glands/ hormones causing PMS/infertility/Post partum depression/low thyroid/burned out adrenals/hot flashes/acne/addictions/food cravings/headahche/tired/no sleep/anxiety/panic/depression/obsessing/suicidal thoughts/Diabetes and much more. No gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/GMO...taking vitamins/good oils/minerals...probiotic...LDN..detoxing helps me. Rhodiola/coenzyme Q10 is very good. Coenzymated B vitamins/Vit D3/Vit C/zinc/fish oil/evening primrose oil/Vit A/Vit B12 methylcobalamin intrinsic factor kind/shot/strong dairy free probiotic when stomach acid is low/HCl and enzymes with meals/Mg/Nature's Plus- Source of life multiple and more help me. I am low in fat since meat/coconut oil/olive oil/heated oils/flax and more hurt me. Glands need healthy fats. Gluten maybe the reason glands are not healthy. By Cameron Being the world's biggest Deep Purple fan as I am, I thought I knew everything about them. How wrong I was proven when I read this book; A Matter of Fact, by Jerry Bloom, a newly published Deep Purple book about facts & fun trivia of the group spanning their entire career.What an entertaining read with loads of great never before seen information & pictures, also includes a nice list near the end of some of Deep Purple's rarest albums and LPs.This book is a MUST HAVE for any Deep Purple fan or collector, and it even separates the fact from fiction.It's not all Just about MK 2 & Ritchie Blackmore. Jerry Bloom is open to writing about all of the different line ups of the band & even features a hefty couple of chapters on Deep Purple MK 5 with Joe Lynn Turner to the current line up, MK 8 with Steve Morse & Don Airey who still tour today and the book has information from up to the most modern point in time the present. It even puts you in the place of the band's unfortunate turmoil and problems with Blackmore from the 80's and 90s with other stories from people like the band's manager, Colin Heart who also witnessed some of the tragic events unfold first hand causing the original line up to split in '93. It feels like you are there really.It is a highly educational and entertaining book which I really enjoyed throughout. It will even surprise the biggest hardcore Deep Purple fans ! Guaranteed !

An in-depth examination By Phillip Taylor MBE AN IN-DEPTH EXAMINATION OF THE ARENA WHERE SERIOUS CRIMINAL OFFENCES ARE PROSECUTED AND SENTENCEDAn appreciation by Phillip Taylor MBE and Elizabeth Taylor of Richmond Green ChambersThere are not that many publications available today which have examined in detail the working of the Crown Court since its establishment in the 1970s. So, “Inside Crown Court” is to be welcomed as it presents the findings of a 20-month qualitative study of the Crown Court which was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.We are not at all surprised by the findings in this book and the final chapter 8, “Conclusions”, sets out what both advocates and the general public would find of greatest interest. The three authors, Jessica Jacobson, Gillian Hunter and Amy Kirby, state that the greatest challenge “lies in the fact that defendants’ marginalization and passive acceptance are likely to have roots much deeper than the way the criminal justice system operates”. These are probably the key findings which give the book such relevance and resonance for current applied criminologists, researchers and those involved at any level with the Crown Court.Between the years 2005 and 2010 some limited government research was conducted into the experiences of court users and we remember some of the forms we completed at the time at court. Unfortunately, the cuts have resulted in a shelving of much valuable feedback although the Witness and Victim Experience Survey (WAVES) was initially established and will hopefully be re-started amid continuing concerns about the position and plight of ‘victims’ within the criminal justice process as the issues rises up the political agenda.In essence, “Inside Crown Court” is a research book which will be of great value to a wide range of readers both legal and general. It should be read by all users of the system as well as undergraduates, academics, Home Office and Ministry of Justice policy-makers and legal practitioners. It’s particularly relevant to criminologists as probably the foremost research paper on where we have come with the creation and operation of Crown Courts in the last 40 years.The book runs to about 250 pages and has eight chapters. The crucial chapter for Counsel is Chapter 5 on ‘structured mayhem’ which just about sums up some of the chaotic and frankly unprofessional ways in which court proceedings appear to be conducted. Talleyrand once said of the Bourbon kings of France that ‘they had learned nothing and forgotten nothing’ and we felt this possibly an apt summing up of the state of the Crown Court today where there is an urgent need for immediate reform.It is to be hoped that the current re-shaping of justice under the initiative of Lord Thomas LCJ which began in the spring of 2014 will pay some attention to the findings of this survey and actually learn something which can be constructively used from the excellent Appendix which details observed cases. The day will come when all proceedings are video recorded (possibly not for public consumption after the Pistorius Trial and its implications) and we might just, as the public, see some meaningful changes.It will be a tribute to the 3 applied criminologists who wrote this book if some of what has been highlighted can be acted upon after 7th May 2015. We will wait and see! Meanwhile this book is a great example of why we need much more public legal education on what we, as practitioners do: “Inside Crown Court” is a great start on this new road if an incoming government grasps the nettle.

This airy little comedy is filled with fairies, spells, love potions and romantic mixups, with only the bland human lovers making things a little confusing (who's in love with whom again?).As Athens prepares for the wedding of Theseus and Hippolyta, the fusty Egeus is demanding that his daughter Hermia marry the man he's chosen for her, Demetrius. Her only other options are death or nunhood.Since she's in love with a young man named Lysander (no, we never learn why her dad hates Lysander), Hermia refuses, and the two of them plot to escape Athens and marry elsewhere. But Helena, a girl who has been kicked to the curb by Demetrius, tips him off about their plans; he chases Hermia and Lysander into the woods, with Helena following him all the way. Are you confused yet?But on this same night, the fairy king Oberon and his queen Titania are feuding over a little Indian boy. They can be VERY difficult to follow, especially if you need to keep the four lovers straight.But despite those small flaws, Shakespeare is in rare form here -- the story floats along in an enchanted haze of fairy magic, forest groves, and a love square that twists in on itself. And Shakespeare's lush, haunting poetry is absolutely lovely here ("With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine/There sleeps Titania sometime of the night/Lull'd in these flowers with dances and delight...").But he also packs it with plenty of hilarity -- not only is it funny to read about the haughty fairy queen fawning over a guy with a donkey head (Nick Bottom = "ass's head", get it?), but there's plenty of funny moments in the dialogue ("Thisby, the flowers of odious savours sweet...").The four main lovers are relatively bland and interchangeable, and we never find out much about them except that Helena is kind of stalkerish and not too bright (she tips off the guy she likes that the girl HE likes is eloping so he can stop her?). The real draws are the fairy creatures -- Titania and Oberon are proud alien creatures filled with both cruelty and kindness, and Puck is delightfully mischievous and.... puckish."A Midsummer Night's Dream" is a shimmering little concoction of magic, romantic mayhem and fairy squabbling. Absolutely stunning.
