I have missed you soooo much because you havent made books in forever! Please get this book because it is free (Thanks Ender King) Very well written story and I cant wait for book 2 to come out. Everybody must leave a 5 star review. I hope Ender King gets tons of money from his awesome books. Highly recommended to children that are obsessed with Minecraft. Author recommended too. I hope you keep making books becaue I was thinking that your Ender Chicken book would be the last book you made. By Alexis Rivas This book is all about combat and mentions enemies weak points and your weapons durability and how much damage it causes. The book covers all mobs that are hostile towards the player and provides tips on how to win against them. The book also covers armor and the mechanics of the percent of reduced damage whenever the character wears certain armor! Not only that, but the books also provides information on how to brew every potion in Minecraft step by step! The book will also give advice on how to get the edge on fighting with other players in Pvp or player vs player and how to protect your home from online players being able to grief you. Its a great guide that covers more than combat and also mentions what villagers trade and which seek certain items to trade over others. In my opinion, this book deserves a 5 star rating!

Burt was an architect who built sunny, open sanatoriums after his beloved first wife died of TB. I just learned about the book recently and was happy to see his designs that must have brought some comfort to those suffering.

Anne Crosby was born into a large family in England in 1929. Crosby received little formal schooling as a child, due to the turmoil of the Second World War, her father's "experimental" ideas about education, and having been diagnosed with dyslexia. She came to excel in art school, and at the age of twenty she lived abroad for several years in Rome, Paris, and the Var region of France. After returning to London she painted and taught in art schools. In 1960 she married Theo Crosby with whom she had a daughter, Dido, and a son, Matthew. She continues to paint, and now divides her time between Washington, DC, and London. Matthew is her first book.

I fell in love with Matthew and mourned him for several days after finishing the book. Have a box of tissues ready. I wish the book had pictures of Matthew besides the ones on the cover. As you read it, remember that Matthew was born in a different time and bringing home your child with Down syndrome wasn't the norm back then. His mother did so much to change the way people with disabilities were treated and cared for.

The 173rd was mentioned in the dedication in an attempt to thank the soldiers of the 173rd for rescuing him after being shot down. Miller explained that he deliberately said very little about the many accomplishments of the 3-506th for the same reason he's never said much about his brother and sisters' accomplishments. The 3-506 was his family. Their Commander was his mentor and friend. This book was written in Vietnam, not afterwards from memory. Miller tells it like it was not how he remembered it being or wished it had been. Like HST, Miller is a born curmudgeon, cynic, and rebel. I cracked up when his commander described him as "he'll never make general but he'll get you there and back." No grunt ever had a truer, more unconditional friend.This memoir hit particularly close to home for me as it detailed the author's experiences as a warrant officer chopper pilot in Phan Thiet, Vietnam from May '68 to May '69. I graduated flight school in Jan '69 but ended up in Korea. This account showed me a lot of what I missed. Miller shared several photos of the Vietnam chopper pilot experience in his book. You can see more if you Google "192nd Assault Helicopter Company". I also recommend Googling "View the Wall" and searching for Arann and Thoman, Miller's comrades in the 192nd--a very moving experience.Our country owes the Vietnam vet more than it can ever repay. In my estimate, the greatest of them are the ones who rejected the party line but showed up for duty anyway. Bob Miller - A Phan Thiet Hero By Lane Rickman If you want to read about a Vietnam Chopper pilot who was somewhat cynical about the war, but a courageous and skillfull pilot, who risked his life to perform for his commander and his troops, then read this book.This isn't just a book review, it is a testimony from me. I was there. I witnessed what he writes about. Early, most every morning, their choppers assembled, with LTC Alves, (AKA - Blackhawk)in the lead chopper often piloted by Miller. They would lift off on their mission is a Fury that the Vietcong learned to fear. I said a silent prayer for Miller, Blackhawk,the other pilots, and the grunts every day.My heart was heavy when some of the ships would return to the LZ hot, bringing the wounded, and body bags in. No time was wasted as they left back to the action. Time after Time. Day after Day.Miller was a highly decorated Warrent Officer. You must read what Blackhawk said about him. This book gave me an excellent frame of reference. I am friends with other Viet Nam Veterans,so the stories told in this book both confirm what I've been told by others as well as hearing new stories of what things were like in Southeast Asia in 1968. i would have enjoyed working with Bob Miller,I think,had I had a chance. Well worth the time & money for this book. I absolutely recommend it. Easily Five Stars in my book.

13 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Perhaps the Greatest Zelda Arrangements for Piano By Quinn G. This is the Zelda book I've been dreaming of for years. These four pieces are taken from the Symphony of the Goddess traveling symphony which accompanied the release of Skyward Sword. Each piece is in the form of a symphonic movement, moving through various different themes from a Zelda game. The tracks are on the audio CD which came with early copies of the game. If you are unfamiliar with the pieces, it may be good to check out the live orchestra versions first to get an idea of what these are.First, the book is very nice. The binding is stiff, but secure. The score looks beautiful. The full color artwork pages are stunning.I am picky with piano arrangements. As a classical pianist, I am often disappointed in arrangements which don't mesh well with the piano as an instruments. That said, I happily endorse this book. Playing this music is delightful. There are many moments which perfectly capture the orchestrated versions. The only potential drawback, in my opinion, is that a few ornaments have been simplified; yet, the notes left out are easy enough to add by ear if this is an issue.As for difficulty, I will not try to describe it with generic terms. In my opinion, the music was not arranged specifically to be easy or difficult. Rather, it was arranged to convey the underlying music. In case difficulty level is a concern, I'll walk through some of the more challenging parts of the Wind Waker piece. Some passages have tricky articulation switching rapidly between staccato notes and slurs. A few passages have two voices played by the same hand, sometimes a 6th or 7th apart. Sometimes the left hand carries the melody or both hands play equally important lines. The key signatures range from 5 flats to 7 sharps. There is an enormous dynamic range. (That's what makes it so fun!) Some chords are fairly large. The time signature is generally straightforward, but there is a brief 7/4 passage. I don't mean this to be intimidating, many parts are quite simple! And above all else, I believe this would be very fun to play even if it takes a little longer to master than other arrangements available. I only include this discussion in case a new pianist is looking for a Zelda book.This book is a gem, definitely worth any Zelda fan's attention.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Seems like decent music, but focuses on the Symphony rather than the original melodies By Alex These arrangements seem decent. I'm a novice so I haven't managed to get far into it yet. When I started to play the "Time of the Falling Rain" series (based on A Link to the Past) I was struck with how oddly this arrangement sounded. I looked up a recording of the live symphony on Youtube and got my answer. These arrangements appear to be based on the symphony concert arrangements rather than the original pieces from the games. They try to capture the orchestra instruments into a solo piano and it can come off a bit awkward.This all might be obvious, but I wanted to point it out. Try listening to the orchestra versions a bit before buying. What you hear there is more or less what this book tried to capture.

For Fans of Racing the Beam By Andrew Rayburn I loved Racing the Beam: The Atari Video Computer System (Platform Studies) and although there have been other Platform Studies books this one seemed to be the closest follow up. Since the NES is more complicated than the 2600 this book, out of necessity, is too. Not all of what Nathan Altice talks about is easily visualized and the black and white screenshots rarely illustrate effectively, so be sure to have YouTube at the ready for looking up games as they are mentioned. The section on audio is especially difficult on the page. It's an absolute must to listen to the music if you want to follow along.The nature of print is the biggest weakness of the book, but the biggest strength is Altice's connecting the features and limitations of the hardware to the world around them. This gives context to why the NES was what it was, and how that shaped the games we all played. There are lots of books about the NES but few have tied it all together so well.

I ended up getting that plus much, much more.The combination of both technical and historical aspects of the system was exceptional. Being a collector of NES games, it was enlightening to finally get some additional information on the wide range of hardware and software pieces that make the system tick. I can't imagine the amount of time the author must've spent compiling all of this data; I'm very appreciative that he did.I highly recommend this book to technical minds that enjoy reading details about early gaming systems. It's certainly applicable to the non-technical as well, although they won't be able to get quite as much out of it overall. I hope the author continues with an SFC/SNES version soon!

This book has a solid balance of technical depth and higher level anecdotes about the the history of Nintendo hardware and in particular the NES.And for a touch of pop culture, after reading this you will have a better understanding why blowing on the cartridge connector was truly just psychosomatic.

I’ve been out of shape lately and a friend of mine who does cross-fit recommended that I give it a try. As a beginner I found the information in this book to be very clear and concise and really enjoyed reading it and it will come in very useful. Additionally the nutrition information in this book makes it a lot easier for me since diet is crucial to lose weight. Great read!

Everyone who wants to be physically fit will benefit a lot from this book. It has a very good introduction, terms are clearly defined at the first part which benefits the beginners. Questions on my mind were answered first hand. It clears my wrong beliefs that it is only good for military men, athletes and weightlifters. I now fully understand the concept of Cross-Training and the many benefits that it carries. It is pretty convincing that even if you do not exercise, it will urge you into trying it. The guidelines in creating an effective action plan for starting Cross-Training in Chapter 4 is the most vital part of the book. Following the 50 WODs with the proper diet is a wholesome combination I learned from here. It is a lot more convenient if there were pictures. After reading the book, better watch some instructional videos and research more about the training and the diet since crossfit accompanied by Paleo diet brings better result.

It has a grand total of 68 pages, several of which are wasted on laying out the value of the various hands...twice. The rest of the book consists of explaining the difference between Holdem, Blackjack and Omaha coupled with some basic play strategies that even a retarded person could figure out within ten minutes on their own or get for free from any online basic tips guide, even if it were written by a child. If anyone is intent on ripping themselves off after reading this, I'll sell you my copy for one dollar plus shipping. But no returns and no refunds when you figure out that you just wasted a dollar plus shipping on something which is completely worthless.

By Harith Al-Kubaisy I just finished reading the book and I highly recommend it to any runner to see there is more to training than just logging miles. The book has a nice flow that made me ever so intrigued for what is to come.The text format (think font, size) is very readable and easy on the eyes, and the language is very easy to follow.

By Trev I've heard experts say that running is 90% mental toughness, it's fascinating to finally learn the science behind it. Jeff Brown had me hooked from the beginning with his chapter on "I Think Therefor I Am a Runner" and the discussion of the reticular activating system. I also loved the brain strategies section which provides readers with science-based cognitive tools to use while your grinding out a long run or marathon. I think I'll recall and use principles I learned in this book at all my future races. Cheers!

I agree with Dr. Brown, he said "Your biggest asset (or sometimes your greatest enemy) is your brain." If you don't understand this, you would not improve as a runner.I met Dr. Brown during the expo of the NY Marathon this year, a humble human being and a great person!.The book is easy to understand and read. 100% recommended!!!
