A Reality Check in Lock Creek By Linda Thompson, Host of The Authors Show The really cool thing about Smith’s books is that although she gives you a cliff hanger in the last chapter, you know more is coming. And now that I’ve finished book 4, I feel like I have a new family with Derrick and Anne. This one was not only hilarious in spots, it was very sad in others. The story is very well written and certainly does not focus on the sad, but it tends to remind the reader that life isn’t all a bed of roses (or tulips in this case). The continuing saga of Derrick and Anne and of their extended family continues to evolve and never gets boring. Once again, I’m eager to see what comes next.

I miss the characters already! Great book! It has twists and turns I never saw coming. It made me laugh.... It made me cry......I LOVE the characters! I absolutely love this series! So far this is my favorite book in the series. GREAT BOOK! I can not wait for the next one. Hurry up Laney Smith......... I am waiting. :)
