Who better to write a book about the life and heart of a nurse than someone who has been a nurse for decades and has experienced nursing through many phases, in different parts of the country, in many different roles. The author's breadth of experience is very impressive. I love her sense of humor and her insight. The author relates many stories about patients she has cared for and what she learned from the experiences. Every nurse will love this book, and readers who are not nurses will thoroughly enjoy the many stories told. It's really a book everyone can enjoy. Kudos to the author for a great book!

More than A Job gives not just a look on the other side of the door about nursing, but an up close and personal look at the life of a dedicated woman who has given her life to the care of others. This book is a must read for anyone who has ever been cared for by a nurse. And that would be most of us. The author is endearing, funny, warm and educated. I highly recommend More Than A Job to anyone.
