By Dr. in Chicago This adaptation was originally commissioned by the National Theatre of Great Britain 20 years or so ago, to give you an inkling about the quality. The language is contemporary without loosing the comedy and sassiness of the original by Aristophanes. The ladies are well written and fun. The men are comedic and fun. All in all, I give this translation an A! (And I'm going to direct this show in the Spring at the my local College!)
