0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. COOL!! By Lishiba1 Light hearted in 'feel' but this book is serious. As in, the reader's amusement will be taken seriously. Now and then there's brilliant line that takes you by surprise in a good way.I really enjoyed most of the pieces especially Death and Mate and Refuse to Pay, in which the author gets an unfair parking ticket slapped on his famous red honda. It's pretty funnyThe illustrations look great too. Worth a buy just for them.

Both the author and illustrator have such well-developed styles that are completely unique. Eric Z Berger has joined the ranks of Steve Martin and Woody Allen: writers who can literally make me laugh out loud. It's a rare feat to do this, and I applaud Eric and Alex on this quality book. I hope there's more to come.

By Amazon Customer I found this book on the shelf of a local new & used book store in Los Angeles. I don't know why but the title appealed to me. I read it and fell in love with the sage-like humor Eric Berger presents to us in his collection of zany, surrealist, and very clever pieces. I especially loved the bits of satire and the wonderful illustrations by Alex Galante.
