Excerpt from The Biochemic System of Medicine: Comprising the Theory, Pathological Action, Therapeutical Application, Materia Medica, and Repertory of Schuessler's Twelve Tissue RemediesThe following work on Biochemistry is offered to the public with a sincere desire to advance the cause of truth. The author has no desire to tear down anything good that may be found in any system of medicine. But this is an age of keen investigation - of idol breaking and truth finding. He who is afraid to investigate for fear that some cherished belief will be swept away, is not a true scientist. Age cannot sanctify an error. It is with the kindest of feelings towards the science of Homoeopathy, and its many brave and noble defenders, that its underlying principle, "similia similibus curantur" has been questioned, and idem - the same to the same, or the law of Supplying Deficiencies - pushed to the front as the Natural Law of Cure.It is not claimed that all the matter in the book is original. It is absolutely necessary in preparing a text-book on Biochemistry, to use, in the main, the therapeutics and materia medica of Schuessler and the translator, Dr. M. Docetti Walker, of Dundee, Scotland. Some additions have been made, founded on experience. Hundreds of eminent physicians throughout the land have given time and experience that go to enrich the pages of the work. But the writer does claim originality in the biochemic pathology and the modus operandi of its therapeutics, and holds that his theories in regard to the manner and mode of operation, by which the inorganic cell-salts of human blood unite with organic matter to form certain material for carrying on life's processes, have never before been clearly set forth.Biochemistry is in its infancy. It is hoped the progressive physician will investigate, without prejudice, and thereby assist humanity to a true understanding of the cause and cure of disease.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Different ones for different things the body needs. it was a life saver for me. No doctor could help me with medicine. I was hearing music and words--spelling them over and over again. I felt I was about to go crazy. I started taking the Hyland Bioplasma mineral salts and within 3 days the music and the words were gone. I have been taking the mineral salts about a year . This little book written along time ago helped me so very much and I highly recommend it.

Helpful Reference By Cindy I use this book as a reference for learning about cell salts and for ideas on choosing a remedy for a particular pathology.I appreciate reading original works of the early biochemists- and this book is full of the flavor of those beginnings. Carey left us with his strong opinions regarding the direction medicine was taking in the early 1900's. In this book and other early biochemic texts I have found the origin of many ideas that seemed to be cutting edge "New Age" ideas that were popularized in the 1990's.Personally, I feel that these biochemists were ahead of their times. Their ideas about using cell salts are grounded in science. I have appreciated finding ways to ground ideas that seem foreign to western medicine in original texts such as this one.If you are a student of biochemic tissue/cell salts, I strongly recommend it as a useful reference. If you are looking for an easily accessible general reference, I would not recommend it.

Cell salts are trace elements that our body cannot function without.. They are the only stable part of our body .. so simple but in trace amounts can reverse most any ailment
