Scott Danzig is an exceptionally talented photographer, and Luna is a very photogenic subject. I first encountered Luna on Quora, and then on her website, and was delighted when she came out with her own book. The pictures---and there are hundreds of them---are just beautiful. The accompanying text is clever without being snarky, and heartwarming without being saccharine. This is a favorite among my many cat books.

I like potbelly pig stuff. I even like turtles and fish. But cats, well, they kind of leave me cold. Which is why I'm writing this review. Because I loved the book, and after reading it, I fell in love with Luna. And to some extent her entire species.Luna is a green-eyed minx with a love for mischief, and author/photographer Scott Danzig brings her adventures to life in this colorful, 100-page graphic novel. We see her stretching for her exercise routine, which involves a lot of stalking, jumping, contortioning (if that indeed is a word), and true to her name -- chomping.Luna wants a lot of things out of life. The friendship of Tucker, the daschund (and his beloved tennis ball). To lie on a bed of hundred dollar bills (check it out for yourself on page 62). The permanent banishment of all birds, mice, squirrels and assorted avians, rodents and insects that dare venture near her New York apartment, which she graciously shares with her parents, Scott and Aliona.I won't spoil the rest for you. Heck, I am saving the best parts for my young nephew, Jett, who DOES love cats a lot. (He can't have one, his mother being allergic, so he has to settle for a pair of neutered guinea pigs instead.) But this book isn't just for kids. It has a sophisticated sense of humor that will be appreciated by readers of all ages. And it's just plain fun: a great addition to your coffee table or bookshelf.Beautifully shot and lovingly annotated, Luna the Little Chomper is guaranteed to bring out the latent cat love in anyone. Five stars!

Adventures of an adorably curious cat By A reader Filmmaker Scott Danzig brings you a lavishly illustrated stories of Luna, the "Little Chomper", as she investigates the world around her with bright, almost humanly expressive eyes. In between strategically placing herself in the path of sunbeams, taking catnaps, and rolling around in catnip, she plays with toys, explores the possibilities of using an exercise bike as a climbing tree, and tries to outwit Scott to get a treat. Follow Luna's adventures as she makes a carefully supervised excursion to the yard, has a none too friendly encounter with a dog, and finds fiendishly clever hiding places. A delightful treat for the young, and young at heart.
