Johnny tries to go straight by fumbling in the real estate market.The unique character Nick Tory has created in Johnny Tee is a cross between Rodney Dangerfield and Raoul Duke, with shades of Forrest Gump. He does everything one would not expect him to do, yet displays some kind of idiotic genius in the process.`Johnny Real Estate' is absolutely hilarious. Follow the ramblings of Johnny Tee as he seeks the coveted "Blue Jacket" in real estate sales —you won't be disappointed, and can read it in an hour.

As keeping with what this reviewer has observed of the author’s work, this novella tells of the adventures, or misadventures, experienced by the knockabout anti-hero, Johnny Tee.As the name suggests, the ne’er-do-well Johnny ventures into the world of real estate, which some would consider an already maligned profession with disreputable operators, so Johnny should find his niche. The story does not disappoint, as Johnny uses Machiavellian tactics to sell properties previously considered unsellable in his quest to earn a Blue Jacket, which is considered the Holy Grail for all realtors employed by the agency.Tory writes in a fluent style with a tongue-in-cheek tone, and his story is delightfully non-didactic as the reader follows Johnny through amusing scrape after amusing scrape.Johnny Real Estate is available for Amazon.com, and this reviewer is looking forward to reading more adventures from, to use a hackneyed phrase, ‘this loveable loser’.Four out of five.

He wants a profession which requires absolutely no experience and so decides to become an real estate agent. He manages to get a job at Hoffman and Mills where he's given a seemingly impossible task called The Gauntlet by his boss, the power crazy Kenny Mills.Johnny doesn't take no for an answer, adopting an unconventional approach to his work.This book is very funny and original and the writing is fast paced with plenty of twists and turns. Johnny Tee is completely lacking in common sense, self obsessed and totally oblivious to the people around him and the effect he has on them, but, at the same time, he's a determined risk taker. Due to a certain naivety, Johnny fails to see the dangers and this leads him into all sorts of tricky situations.An enjoyable, unpredictable and entertaining read.
