About the Author Stephen Mason is a barrister with an interest in electronic signatures, authentication, security, electronic evidence, e-mail and internet use, the interception and monitoring of communications, data protection and privacy. He is also a member of the IT Panel of the General Council of the Bar of England and Wales, an independent director of tScheme Limited and an Associate Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.

The author’s intention is to offer the book as an aid to both lawyers and their technical advisers working on eDisclosure in the England and Wales jurisdiction and he does just that.What we found particularly helpful for advocates is that Mason gives us an indication of how judges have approached the issues arising in both civil and criminal proceedings.Mason’s conclusion which we heartily agree with is that the guide is of interest to all jurisdictions struggling with the same issues.
