0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Book Worthy of Coheed's Brilliance (Basic Theory Knowledge Required) By Captain The Music Itself: Fantastic. Many claim it is Coheed's masterpiece. I agree with them. There's a lot of heart, a lot of power, and a lot of REALLY catchy stuff on this record. I catch myself humming intricate guitar licks and shouting epic lines. Only fault I find is with the final track "2113". It just doesn't click for me.The Book: It's really well done. It has everything you need... Asterisk.* Obviously you need to know how to read tabs. If you don't grasp that, well, newsflash. It's important to note however, that basic chord knowledge IS required in many cases. The book itself says the chords "reflect the general feel". But many beginners will not even know what C5 or Am mean. Keep this in mind if you are a true beginner, or you are buying this book for someone with limited music theory.Back to the book. It is printed on strong paper, it feels weighty and solid. The staffs have a lot of space between them, so the music can breathe. I've read a lot of sheets that feel like they should have come with a magnifying glass, so this was really nice. It has the the lyrics, which I've found to be mostly accurate. (I may be hearing them wrong however.)Lastly, the notation for Claudio (the singer) is particularly well done. It is clear a great amount of attention was spent on the complicated nature of Claud's singing. If you plan on singing while you play, this book has got your back!Verdict: If you're looking for something like this, good news - this is it!
