Shepherd This latest in the series of Hidato puzzle books continues the fine tradition of its predecessors. Each puzzle is a unique challenge. The key to solving these puzzles is to resist the urge to guess. If it is possible for a given number to go in two different places, don't assume. Only enter a number when you are absolutely sure that it can only go in a single position, and you will have clues to tell you that if you study the puzzle board. Guessing inevitably results in having one empty square when you are done with the puzzle, but you need to enter one more number, and the empty square is nowhere near where you need the last number to be.The more puzzles you work, the better you get at it. You will find that even the puzzles labelled "very hard" aren't really so hard, they just take longer because the clues are more involved.I have found that working these puzzles keeps my mind challenged, and I know that I don't have to worry about getting Alzheimer's Disease if I work a couple of these puzzles each day. Completing a puzzle is a very satisfying activity, and I enjoy all of these Hidato books immensely.
